British Beginnings
Every piece in The Bardot Collection begins here, in Yorkshire — the place we will always call home. There is something in this corner of Britain that settles quietly into the way we make: the rolling hills and open moorland, the dry-stone walls laid by hand and standing for centuries, the worn cobbles of York's oldest streets, smoothed soft by generations of footsteps. It is a landscape of quiet endurance, of beauty that never needs to announce itself — and over time it teaches you that the things worth keeping are the things made with love.
The drawing you see is of the Shambles in York, local to us and one of the oldest streets in England, by a local artist, Art by Arjo, whose hand felt so much like our own: unhurried, devoted to the small and the lasting. Yorkshire has always understood that the finest things are not the loudest — they are the ones that endure, the ones passed gently from one pair of hands to the next, carrying a little of the love they were made with. That is the feeling we set into every stone: British by origin, Yorkshire at heart and made not for a season but for a lifetime.
