The Padparadscha Sapphire
Thirteen carats of Padparadscha Sapphire, Emerald-cut, set in Platinum. There is no other colour like it in the natural world, and no other word for it either. Padparadscha is its own designation entirely.
The name comes from the Sanskrit for lotus blossom. It describes the rarest colour in Sapphire: a precise meeting of pink and orange, warm as a late summer sunset, soft as a petal held to light. Gemologists debate its exact boundaries; collectors simply recognise it on sight. At 13 carats in an Emerald cut, every facet of that colour is laid completely bare.
The stone is laboratory-grown, which is precisely why it achieves this. The Padparadscha designation is among the most difficult to reach in nature — the balance of tone so narrow, the frequency of occurrence so rare, that stones of this quality and size are almost never found. Grown with intention, this one is.
The four-claw setting in hallmarked platinum holds the stone at each corner with quiet precision. The shank tapers elegantly toward the back, keeping the architecture entirely in service of what it carries.
Each ring is made individually, sized to the wearer, and assessed by a GIA and Gem-A qualified jeweller. Authentication and valuation documentation are included as standard.
